कतर के अमीर शेख तहमीम बिन हमद अल थानी 17-18 फरवरी को India tour पर हैं। वो Delhi Airport पहुंच चुके हैं, जहां Prime Minister Narendra Modi ने उनका grand welcome किया। ये past decade में उनकी पहली India visit है।
जिसके लिए PM Modi ने उन्हें specially invite किया है। उनकी ये trip काफी significant मानी जा रही है। इस दौरान India और Qatar के बीच कई crucial issues पर discussion होगी। साथ ही, trade, investment और technology sectors में भी growth की उम्मीद जताई जा रही है।
बताते चले कि Qatar के अमीर शेख तहमीम बिन हमद अल थानी दुनिया के ninth richest kings में से एक हैं, जिनके पास approximately 335 billion USD की wealth है। Qatar में supreme ruler को “Amir” कहा जाता है और शेख तमीम बिन हमद अल-थानी 2023 में Qatar के Amir बने थे।

Doha के Royal Palace में रहने वाले Amir शेख की three marriages से उनके 13 children हैं। 100 से अधिक rooms और grand ballroom वाले इस palace की cost करीब 1 billion USD बताई जाती है।
India और Qatar के diplomatic relations काफी strong रहे हैं और इस visit से दोनों देशों के बीच strategic ties को और strengthen करने की कोशिश की जाएगी। खासकर energy sector, defence cooperation और infrastructure development जैसे key areas में नए agreements होने की संभावना है।
PM Modi और Amir Tamim की इस high-profile meeting से उम्मीद की जा रही है कि bilateral relations को एक नई दिशा मिलेगी और दोनों nations के बीच economic और political collaboration को और मजबूती मिलेगी।
